沮丧的妻子

　　本片讲述了主人公苏尔因醉酒的一张自拍在网上疯狂流传后被取消享有奖学金的资格，她的任课教师也受其牵连，并怒斥苏尔。但苏尔对于醉酒的当晚发生的事情毫无记忆。于是，她开始向朋友寻求帮助以究其原委。

 故事围绕黄琼展开，她8岁移民美国，始终难以融入周遭。渴望融入美国社会的她，痴迷于赢得“舞会皇后”头衔，将其视作被接纳的象征。当亲眼见证舞会皇后加冕 —— 那正是她向往成为的模样时，这份执念愈发强烈。为实现目标，琼发现了一项能改变种族的新科技，借此将自己变成了白人女孩。然而，当她改造后的面容开始衰败，她的追求走向黑暗转折，迫使她直面自身行为的后果。

父亲神秘死亡后，年轻的阿米什女子艾玛想要体验一些不同的东西，于是，她背着母亲玛丽，在朋友丽贝卡的帮助下，逃到英国世界去参加朗姆酒聚会。在那里，她遇到了白马王子希思，他让她爱不释手。但她与他的梦幻约会被打断了，因为他因紧急工作被叫到另一座城市。莎拉独自留在家里体验现代世界的所有便利设施，她的生活很快变成了一场噩梦，她在厨房发现了一具尸体，不久之后，被一个神秘人物打昏。恢复意识后，她决定逃回阿米什人的生活并躲起来，但是当侦探敲门询问时，她意识到她必须自己寻找凶手。

　　Following her mother’s death, manga artist Soriya travels to her ancestral home in Phnom Penh, with hopes of reconnecting with her distant family and using the visit as inspiration for her work. All goes well initially. Renting an apartment in Metta, a rundown Khmer Rouge-era housing complex, her visit to her maternal relatives finds her welcomed with open arms. But Soriya’s waking hours in the apartment and its surroundings are punctuated by terrifying, bloody visions, almost as though she were a conduit for horrors of the past wanting to seep into the present.　　Inrasothythep Neth and Sokyou Chea’s blood-chilling psychological horror explores a personal and political past through the present, transforming a characterful space into an insidious environment. Surrounded by modern high-rises, this decrepit structure, with its brutalist architecture and peeling surfaces, is a relic from a dark period in history whose painful memories it has absorbed. In tracing Soriya’s ominous journey back to her roots, Tenement hints at a necessary reckoning with Cambodia’s political past without overplaying its historical dimension. It’s an impressive work from a woefully underrepresented national cinema.
