金钱怪兽

　　知名电视财经专家李·盖茨（乔治·克鲁尼 George Clooney 饰）在电视财经节目《金钱怪兽》中担任主持人而声名大噪，在节目中经常出现疯狂举动，会大声说出投资建议，不时在节目中用搞笑的道具和音效介绍股市。然而，事实上他是透过内线消息让他在华尔街成为赚钱高手。一名不速之客（杰克·奥康奈尔 Jack O'Connell 饰），因为听信投资分析而赔光积蓄，因此在节目直播中绑架了盖茨与节目制作人帕蒂·芬恩（朱莉娅·罗伯茨 Julia Roberts 饰）。同时全国民众也透过电视在看着这场玩命直播，而这场挟持行动也揭发了背后更巨大的金融操弄丑闻。

好像一切都很糟糕

Ayşe, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 悄然之星
