贞洁堡垒

　　60年代的日本人似乎对这个大黑猩猩情有独钟，在玩遍了各种哥斯拉的故事之后，依然将金刚的神奇遭遇不停地向人们展示、炫耀。光看他的故事就能让人吓一跳：科学家制造出了一个机械金刚，用来在北极挖掘神秘的X元素，与此同时邪恶的博士绑架了真正的金刚，令其干同样的活，因此，机械金刚与原形之间的连番恶斗就在所难免了。

　　故事发生在1865年的法国南部，流浪汉狄默提（纳威尔·佩雷兹·毕斯卡亚特 Nahuel Pérez Biscayart 饰）来到了这里，为了避人耳目，他假装自己是聋哑人，在这里的一座小村庄中住了下来。在村子里，狄默提邂逅了名为约瑟芬（伊希尔·勒·贝斯柯 Isild Le Besco 饰）的女子，美丽善良的约瑟芬一下子就吸引了狄默提的注意。　　约瑟芬的父亲休斯（让-克劳德·古卢姆伯格 Jean-Claude Bolle-Reddat 饰）是一个热情好客的男人，他慷慨的邀请狄默提来家里做客，可休斯的善意却并没有得到狄默提的回报。狄默提用一种古老而又邪恶的方法催眠的约瑟芬，将她带进深山老林之中肆意凌辱。

Ayşe, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
