　　东汉末年，精通风水阴阳、堪舆演星之术的乔二被迫与夫人下入墓穴探取长生石，然而墓穴坍塌众人被埋入地下。再次醒来的乔二发现自己到了民国年代，对当代社会一窍不通的他偶遇了与妻子长相一样的小飞莺。靠着众人的协助，乔二将再次下墓寻找自己的爱人。

　　名不见经传的钢琴家安迪（马提亚斯·施维赫夫 Matthias Schweighöfer 饰）和从未干过什么正经事整天游手好闲的本诺（弗洛里安·大卫·菲茨 Florian David Fitz 饰），这两个个性迥异似乎永远都不会有交集的人，相识于病房之中，两人都患上了无法治愈的绝症，时日无多。　　在本诺的怂恿之下，安迪决定和他一起逃出病房，来一趟充满了阳光和激情的非洲之旅，他们要尽情享受轰轰烈烈毫无顾忌的人生，才能甘心接收死亡的终结。就这样，两个“亡命之徒”踏上了他们的旅途，一路上，疯狂的两人制造了数不清的麻烦和笑料，而他们糟糕的健康状况，亦令两人屡屡同死神擦肩而过。最终，当他们抵达了目的地时，又会有怎样的一番景象在等待着两人呢？

Ayşe, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
